Pallet Shuttle Rack

What is a Pallet Shuttle or Pallet Runner?

A Pallet Shuttle is a type of racking that is used for storing pallets densely.

Like drive-in ranking, the pallet is suspended from the edges on a rail. But unlike drive-in ranking, the pallet is brought to the face of the racking for drop off and retrieval by a forklift using a shuttle (someitmes called a runner or radioshuttle).

There are three types marketed in the US:

The PalletShuttle by Automha
The PalletRunner by Konstant
The BT RadioShuttle by EAB
The PalletMole by Frazier Racking

Forklift Battery Chargers for Electric Lift Trucks

electric_forklift_needs_a_battery_charger_2.jpg
Electric lift trucks need batteries to run. The batteries in battery-powered forklifts must be plugged into a forklift battery charger for the forklift to have fuel. There are 3 types of chargers you can use to refuel your forklift:

1) a standard 8 hour charger
2) an opportunity charger
3) a fast charger

If you are considering to buy a used forklift or a new forklift, you now have a choice to make about how quickly you want your battery charged and which style of charger makes most sense for your warehouse operation.

Standard Forklift Charger
A standard charger can be either a ferroresonant charger or an SCR charger (micro-processor controlled charger) can charge a forklift battery in 8 hours.

80% of the battery's charge can be returned in 6 hours of charging. The last 20% takes a further 2 hours to charge.

These chargers generally charge a battery with a start rate of 14 amps to 20 amps per 100 amps of the rated capacity of the forklift battery.

Opportunity Charger

An opportunity charger has a start rate of 25 amps to 35 amps per 100 amps of battery rated capacity.

The opportunity charger will charge the first 80% of the battery in 3 to 4 hours and finsh charge for another 2 hours.

Fast Charge Forklift Battery Charger

A rapid charger or fast charge forklift battery charger charges batteries in 1 hour to 80%. It will still take 2 hours to charge the remaining 20% in the rated capacity of the lift truck's battery.
